Loki smiled somewhat mischievously, a short tss escaping through his teeth. She was serious. “This would be an enormous undertaking…” he said, face dropping until it stopped before the smile fell too far. A flick of his tongue licked his lips. “I presume you accept the responsibilities?”

You have to be joking, right? I will be damned if I am remembered on Father’s Day.

With a high pitched squeal, Charlotte clapped her hands together. Yay! They were playing together! And she’d found him! He was good at this hiding thing though. What fun!“She likes you.” Sheri remarked, watching the two of them play. There was a reason that she wanted Loki and Charlotte to meet. And this was it. Childhood memories were made here, frankly. Sheri wanted her daughter to have all that she did in her childhood and more. “I knew she would. Anyone who plays with her wins her over, frankly.”
“Fun and games are always the way to an infant’s heart.” the deity smiled, thinking about the time he was actually able to play with his daughter, Hel. Although, games with Sleipnir, Jormungandr and Fenrir were not exactly enjoyable…
“For that I am glad!” Loki said, glancing briefly at Sheri who seemingly was delighted. “She will be a wild one indeed.”
With a tickle, he placed his hand upon the child’s rounded belly. “Do me a favour, Charlotte, and drive your mother mad. That is the best kind of fun.”

“Magically benefiting? Magically hindering perhaps… Why? What is you wish to know?” Loki quirked his brow, sitting upright.
It is father’s day today?
Is no-one going to be witty and remind me that I mothered an eight legged horse and sired a giant wolf, a vicious sea serpent and the owner Helheim herself?

In all honesty, Sheri didn’t totally mind the idea of an ounce of mischief in the child. Every kid had it in them at some point and if Charlotte’s was to be the fault of Loki’s then so be it. Besides, what’s a childhood without a little bit of trouble in the memories? Still…. Didn’t mean that there wasn’t going to be some discipline now and again.The baby girl felt the touch on her nose and giggled, popping her hands off in a playful manner. He’d found her! He was good at this! Charlotte babbled softly and touched his nose, trying to signal that it was his turn next. She liked this man so far. Surely he could play this too, right?
The smile on his face grew. Okay, okay. His turn. The god placed his hand across his eyes. Parting his fingers a fraction, he peered out and caught the child’s gaze. As soon as she spotted him, he close his fingers again. He teased her. Everyone knew that Loki had the ability to actually vanish… but how much did he really want to freak the child out? After all, a lot of the fun came from allowing the other person to think they are winning.
He waited for her to touch his nose again, before he tore his hand away in a cheeky surprise. He rolled his eyes and pouted. “You win. My, you are small but you are witty…” he compliment, joining her childlike world for a moment or two - or five.
